Attorney Milan Filipovich

A Scion of a longtime family of Attorneys, Milan always knew his future resided in a career as a practicing lawyer. Milan is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in the former Yugoslavia. Having learned the culture and history of Eastern Europe, he moved back to the US when he was an early teen.

With an intense interest in Politics, History, Geography and Government, Milan began his quest for legal studies. He attended the University of Illinois, where he concentrated in Political Science and History, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in those fields.

Upon his graduation from University of Illinois, Milan volunteered in several political election campaigns, where he served as a volunteer and along others worked the electorate by going from door to door.

In order to save up the funds to attend Law school, Milan began working at auto dealerships, first as a porter, and then ultimately as a sales professional. During his 6 year career in the auto business, Milan worked for some of the most famous and recognized name brands in the industry, including Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, Acura, and others.

Milan ultimately resumed his studies, and attended the John Marshall Law School, where he concentrated in Criminal law, Family law, and Business. While at John Marshall, he volunteered his time at the Cook County Public Defender’s office, where he served as a Law clerk. While there, he acquired essential knowledge in the areas of Criminal defense and Family law.

In addition to his interest in law, Milan is an avid linguist, and is fluent in English, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegran. Milan also is proficient in Polish and French, and has limited Russian knowledge.

In his spare time, Milan enjoys motor-sports, reading history, politics, and playing basketball.
